With the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Degreed has decided to postpone Focus Düsseldorf event until April 22, 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes but feel strongly that we do not contribute by bringing a large group of people together at this sensitive time.

By now, everyone has heard of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and how work is fundamentally changing. Some companies have begun incorporating technology, automation, and artificial intelligence into routine job tasks. As this increases over the next few years, many jobs will become unrecognizable or redundant.  Ultimately though, new jobs will be invented and most jobs are going to evolve to include new skills and responsibilities. The problem? More than 70% of companies still rely on old thinking and use work methods and processes for a world that no longer exists. This means everyone needs to be proactive to become future ready. 

So, what should organizations be doing differently? During this major transformation, people at all levels need to reimagine work and think about new kinds of jobs and careers. And companies need to create environments and experiences that will support this new reality. We all need actionable strategies for the new dynamics of work. 

Kelly Palmer, Chief Learning Officer of Degreed and co-author of the expertise Economy, has led “future ready” strategies not only as a Chief Learning Officer (CLO) but also as an advisor to many global organizations. This session will describe some of these strategies and provide a framework for the new work experience that will help both companies and individuals not only survive but thrive.

She will also show you how to use data to identify key skills most important for the workforce of the future, how you can use that data for upskilling strategies, and finally how you can to connect people to new opportunities as work evolves.

You don't have to say much about the premises of the EVENTRESIDENZ - built in 1905, the old lady is one of the few remains of old cinema architecture. As such, it was used intermittently until 2000. Since 2000, this unique space has been operated as an event location and discotheque. In the summer of 2017, a renovation lasting several weeks took place, which substantiates the architectural origin. Its radiance extends far beyond the city limits.
