Skills HACKATHON: How to survive disruption
The Digital Revolution is reshaping everything, given the broad impact of technology on an organization’s digital transformation and corporate culture. How can you ensure you’re keeping pace with the reskilling revolution? Do you give your employee's career advice and direction? Is your organization using people analytics to make informed decisions to fill and close skill gaps?
If you’re not, you should be. 94 percent of employees say that they would stay at a company longer if it simply invested in helping them learn.
So to help organizations get a little better and more efficient in upskilling and reskilling, Degreed is hosting a Skills event, focusing on tackling two big problems plaguing many organizations: upskilling and career mobility.
This is a different event experience - it’s an interactive, hands-on workshop where participants will break into small teams to share their expertise and create new solutions. So this is a great opportunity to learn from and share with other leaders in your community and industry.
If you’re ready to stop talking about disruption and do something about it, then this event is for you.
Hackathon Experience and Goals
1. You’ll join others in small groups in a mix of industries.
2. In a small team, you will select from 2 business problems:
Problem 1: Filling Skill Gaps - Retaining / Recruiting 10% of mid-career talent
Problem 2: Career Mobility - Hiring/ upskilling 10% of your organization’s talent
3. With your group, produce a working prototype. present a creative solution with your group to a panel of judges (comprised of folks in the room)
At this hands-on event, you will be fueled with excitement and build something from scratch to solve a business problem that can actually change the game at your organization.
