Focus Montreal 2019
The Expertise Economy: Lessons in Learning Strategy and Fostering Curiosity
Keeping people’s skills in sync with fast-changing markets is the biggest challenge of our time. 56% of current workforce skill sets do not match the changes in their company’s strategy, goals, markets, or business models, says ATD's survey about Bridging the Skills Gap.
Thanks to digital disruption, a 4-generation workforce and 60-year careers, organizations are re-thinking how to support employees and their skill development. This requires a refresh in everything from strategies to team skill-sets to modernization of the toolsets.
For companies and their employees to succeed, they need to focus on building skills for the future. And we’ve got some ideas.
As part of an international book circuit, the former CLO of LinkedIn and Yahoo, Kelly Palmer, will be in Montreal on September 10th, for Degreed Focus. She will share ideas from The Expertise Economy on how forward-thinking organizations are successfully increasing employee engagement through learning.
She will be joined by learning leaders from TD Bank and Shopify, both of which will share how transformation and learning strategy are being rolled out at their innovative organizations.
